Engineering

Engineering is a foundational part of delivering successful sculpture—especially in public, architectural, and large-scale environments. At ART Research Enterprises, we integrate engineering early in the process to ensure each piece is structurally sound, code-compliant, and built for long-term performance.

We collaborate with licensed structural engineers to provide stamped drawings and calculations when required, developing solutions for internal armatures, anchoring systems, and site-specific loading conditions. This includes wind load analysis, foundation interface coordination, and material performance across a range of environments.

Our team works closely with both the engineer and the artist to translate technical requirements into fabrication-ready plans. We focus on making sure engineering decisions align with the aesthetic intent, while also addressing practical considerations such as access, assembly sequencing, transportation, and installation.

Because we are deeply involved in fabrication, we understand how engineering lives in the shop—not just on paper. This allows us to proactively coordinate details before production begins, reducing risk and avoiding costly revisions later.

Whether supporting a competitive public art proposal or executing a complex installation, we bring a clear, coordinated engineering approach that helps move projects forward with confidence.
