Her latest piece, <em>The Flame<\/em>, continues this tradition with striking clarity and intention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Designed as a series of <strong>undulating bronze slabs<\/strong>, <em>The Flame<\/em> captures the essence of <strong>movement and transformation<\/strong>. Its fluid form rises from a downtown <strong>fountain plaza in Bethesda, Maryland<\/strong>, inviting viewers to consider both the physical energy of the piece and its symbolic resonance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From initial <strong>concept sketches<\/strong> through to <strong>welding<\/strong>, <strong>hand patination<\/strong>, and final <strong>installation<\/strong>, every phase of the process shaped the sculpture\u2019s bold presence. The surface, rich with depth and texture, was carefully developed to interact with light and water\u2014amplifying the dynamic feel of the space it inhabits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now complete, <em>The Flame<\/em> stands not only as a <strong>sculptural centerpiece<\/strong>, but also as a <strong>landmark of artistic innovation<\/strong> in the heart of downtown Bethesda. It reflects Lisa Scheer\u2019s continued dedication to form, material, and public engagement\u2014marking yet another powerful addition to her evolving legacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure
