But also blessings and opportunity. The sculpture needed to be made from custom made square stainless steel tubing because no commercial supplier manufactured the necessary dimensions which is a massive 17&#8243; square and 20&#8242; long and 3\/8&#8243; thick. The tubing was also too large to be cut in our metal band saw so each section had to be hand measured and cut with a high amperage plasma torch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thinksculpture.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/IMG_20200130_115517564_HDR-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-289\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thinksculpture.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/IMG_20200130_115517564_HDR-980x551.jpg 980w, https:\/\/www.thinksculpture.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/IMG_20200130_115517564_HDR-480x270.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Each 20&#8242; section weighed approximately 15oo lbs. so moving, manipulating and aligning each and every  precisely cut section was a pre planned well thought out process. Ultimately of course, the final hurdle is the installation.
